Thug Life Case: SC pulled Karnataka HC on Kamal Haasan’s film; It is said that ‘the crowd cannot be allowed to be taken to the streets’. Bharat News

The Supreme Court on Tuesday ruled that the Karnataka High Court should not have insisted on his comment about Kannada language on actor Kamal Haasan. The apex court also transferred all the proceedings related to Haasan’s film Thug Jeevan to him.The Supreme Court directed the state government to register its response by Wednesday. The court said that it had already issued a notice in the last hearing due to the urgency of the case.A bench of Justices Ujjal Bhuyan and Manmohan claimed that the law of the law should be strong, and that any film approved by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has the right to release. The court said, “Mob and vigilance will not be allowed to be taken to the streets and uproar over the issue.”The case pending before the Karnataka High Court has now been transferred to the Supreme Court for all future hearing.Last week, the Karnataka High Court questioned Haasan’s refusal to apologize for its comments on the origin of the Kannada language, asked, “Why is the waiver still not?” The court also referred to the late politician C Rajagopalachiri, who once publicly apologized to Kannadigas.With Tuesday’s order, the Supreme Court has taken full control of the case, effectively preserving the film and its makers from the regional court interventions.
