To expand the defense manufacturing base, DRDO 9 moves technology on the system

New Delhi: DRDO has transferred technologies of nine land systems and weapons platforms, including mounted artillery guns and CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) reconnaissance vehicles, which are for defense PSUs and private companies for production.Officials said the DRDO laboratory vehicle research and development establishment located near Ahmednagar in Maharashtra submitted licensing agreements to various companies on Saturday, according to the government’s vision to establish a strong defense industrial ecosystem.Speaking on the occasion, DRDO president Sameer V Kamat praised the “extraordinary performance” of indigenous systems such as Akash Air Defense Missiles during Operation Sindor. He said that the defense industry of the country should also plan for “surge capacity” during such situations.In the technologies transferred by VRDE, CBRN Recce Vehicle (Tracked) Mark-II included defense PSU Bharat Electronics (BEL) and mounted gun system for private sector company Bharat Forge.Other people were anti -terrorism vehicles (tracks) for metaltech motor bodies. Extension mobile shelter for vine; Vajra riot control vehicles Tata Advanced Systems Limited; And multi -purpose refinement system for Das Hitachi Limited and Goma Engineering Private Limited.Other technologies were associated with Arjun main-fighting tanks. Full trailer tank transporter for BEML, Tata International Vehicle Application, SDR Auto Private Limited and John Galt International. In turn, the maintenance vehicle and technologies for repair vehicles for Arjun tank were given to BEML.
