New Delhi: Supreme Court upheld on Thursday Calcutta High Court Decision to cancel the recruitment of 25,000 teachers and Educational employee To Government schoolSaying that the entire process is tainted and bizarre.
A bench of CJI Sanjeev Khanna and Justice Sanjay Kumar said that the entire selection process for the recruitment of teachers was “bizarre and tainted” due to large -scale and widespread manipulations and attempts to cover the manipulations later.
“We have moved through facts. Regarding the findings of the case, the entire selection process is distracted by manipulation and fraud, and reliability and validity is rejected. There is no reason to intervene. There is no reason to intervene. Tainted candidates should be abolished and appointments were the result of cheating and thus the court said in his decision.
However, the apex court clarified that those recruited earlier do not need to return the salary received during their employment.
The court also clarified that those candidates who are not tainted and were working in other departments of the government before their selection as teachers, which has now been canceled, will be entitled to resume their previous employment with the department.
The court also ordered a new selection process to the government and government aided schools in West Bengal for the recruitment of teachers and non-teaching employees.
