Ukraine President Volodimier Zelancesi on Monday made the biggest reshuffle in his government since he started the war with Russia, as he announced the new Prime Minister and Defense Minister for his country.Zelansky appointed Economy Minister Yulia Savidenco as the successor of Prime Minister Dennis Shameel, who will now lead the Ministry of Defense.
The Ukrainian leader wrote on social media, “I have proposed that Yulia Sevidenco leads the Ukraine government and renews its work significantly. I look forward to presenting the new government’s action plan in the near future.”In a later address during the day, he announced that Shameigal would be the Defense Minister. “The huge experience of Dennis Shameigal would definitely be useful in the position of Ukraine’s Defense Minister,” Zelancesi said without providing further expansion.The 39 -year -old Svyrydenko gained prominence this year to help the broker make a mineral deal with the United States, while the 49 -year -old Shameel had served as the Prime Minister since 2020, which was operating the Ukrainian government through the start of the Kovid -19 epidemic and the Russia war in February 2022.Shortly after being declared as the new Prime Minister, Svyrydenko stated that Ukraine faced “significant time” and listed its priorities as “strengthening” the economy of the war-night nation, expanding domestic aid programs and increasing arms production.Meanwhile, Kiev is expected to be the ambassador of the outgoing Defense Minister, Rustom Umrov, Washington DC.
