U’Khand CM Dhami speaks with the counterparts of rain-night states in the northeast, assures help

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had a telephonic conversation with the Chief Ministers of the states of Assam, Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh, where rain -induced landslides, floods and flash floods have wreaked havoc, resulting in loss of life as a result. Dhami spoke to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha and Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu and got information about heavy rainfall and flood situation in their states.Dhami said that the people of Uttarakhand along with the North Eastern states stood in difficult times. If a statement is required from Uttarakhand CMO, the Uttarakhand government will provide all possible assistance to the concerned states.Many northeastern states like Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura are struggling with a deteriorating flood situation after consecutive rainfall, causing a decline in rivers and declining low-to-death areas.Meanwhile, on 2 June, Dhami announced to increase the earlier-grain amount given to the dependents of the state soldiers, who were killed in action from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 50 lakh.The government order related to compliance with the announcement made by the Chief Minister was issued on Monday. In the government order issued by the Sainik Welfare Section, it has been clarified that in the sequence of the announcement made by the Chief Minister, this amount will be allowed to the dependents of the fallen soldiers who have made supreme sacrifices from July 26, 2024.In this way, the dependents of the soldiers killed in the action will now be allowed a pre-Rs.The Chief Minister has said that Uttarakhand is also with Devbhumi with land. “Our brave soldiers have shown their indomitable courage and valor in protecting the borders of the country.”He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, many important decisions are also being taken in the interest of soldiers. With a rank-one pension, the construction of the National War Memorial, the increase in the defense budget, the infrastructure in the border areas has been strengthened.The Chief Minister said that the state government is committed to the welfare of soldiers and their families. The earlier Gratia amount given to the dependents of soldiers has been increased from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 50 lakh.In order to mention in the dispatch, the lump sum and annuity given to the soldiers decorated with all the valor awards from Param Vir Chakra has also increased. It has also been decided to accommodate a member of a martyred family in a government job in the state.
