Ukrainian President Volodimier Zelanski met Britain’s Prime Minister Kir Stmper in London on Thursday, exchanging a handshahek and a hot hug before going inside for talks. This high profile meeting comes just a day before a major US-Russia summit in Alaska that can affect the Kiev-Moscow conflict, as a demonstration of strong support as Ukraine and its European colleagues is being released out of the upcoming US-Russia Summit.Zelanceci’s visit to the British capital follows his participation in a virtual talks with Berlin on Wednesday with US President Donald Trump and several European leaders. The leaders said that Trump had assured him that he would prioritize efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Ukraine when he meets Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday.Both Zelansky and European leaders have expressed concern that the bilateral US-Russia summit can bypass its interests, potentially produce moscow-friendly results. In its fourth year now with a full -scale invasion of Russia in Ukraine, they fear that any agreement may reduce Europe’s security.Earlier on Wednesday, the stormer described the Alaska Summit as “extremely important” and potentially described as a “viable” passage for a ceasefire. However, he also indicated on European discomfort over Ukraine’s possibility, so that the need for strong Western unity against Moscow could be emphasized.“International boundaries cannot occur, and should not be changed by force, and again the group has a long -standing principle,” he said. “And at the same time, anything about borders, diplomacy, ceasefire is to sit with a strong and reliable security guarantee to ensure that any peace, if peace is, peace is permanent and Ukraine can defend its regional integrity as part of any deal.”Zelancesi first thanked the stormers and other partners for their efforts to end the war.
