Lucknow: Candidates who have passed Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment Examination will receive their appointment letters on Sunday, June 15. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will distribute appointment letters.60244 candidates will receive appointment letters at an event to be held at Defense Expo Ground in Lucknow.Of the total 60244 posts for direct recruitment of constables, 12048 are women. This is the first time a large number of women will get appointment letters in any security force.In the last eight years, 8.50 lakh people got a government job in UP.With the help of police administration, 1174 examination centers were selected in 67 districts of the state for the Constable Recruitment Examination.Sharing a video clip of one of the selected candidates on X, UP Police wrote, “One of the 60,000+ dreams. Every newly recruited constable in Uttar Pradesh is a qualification, determination and an examination process behind the constable, which leaves no place for doubt. Technology-conduct recruitment drives in the country.”Meanwhile, on Thursday, CM Yogi Adityanath failed 166 meritorious students in various education boards in Uttar Pradesh and 166 meritorious students living in the top 10 of the Class 12 Board Examination (2024-25). These include each top 10 students of UP board, Sanskrit Education Council, CBSE and ICSE Board. Each student received Rs 1 lakh, a tablet, a certificate and a medal.Along with the main state-level program, district-level programs will be organized to honor meritorious students. A total of 1,508 students will be honored at these local celebrations. Each student will get Rs 21,000, a tablet, a certificate and a medal.
