Lucknow: In the Swachh Survekshan 2024-25, a grand Tiranga Yatra was organized in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh to celebrate the ranking of the third place in the city, which shows its remarkable progress in cleanliness and waste management.To commemorate the achievement, Mayor Sushma Kharwal thanked the public, municipal members, workers and their associate efforts for their associate efforts.Mayor Kharkwal said, “Municipal corporation members, workers and sanitation workers have played a big role with the public, so, we are holding a tricolor rally to thank the public … Whenever I visit schools, I ask students to ask students to ask their mothers to separate wet and dry waste for better waste management … In -charge officers here do garden every week and it will run continuously till September.,On July 14, Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna said that Lucknow has become the third cleanest city in the entire country, recently according to the Swachh Survekshan 2024 rankings.The UP minister said that the capital city improved its position with 41 points from its previous rank.“In the Central Government’s ‘Cleanliness Survey -2024’, the state capital Lucknow has set a record.
