US ‘Dunki’ immigration case: NIA arrested two Haryana residents. Bharat News

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday arrested two residents of Haryana in the case of human trafficking of illegal migrants in the US through the infamous ‘Dunky’ route.The NIA said that Ravi Kumar and Gopal Singh were arrested during extensive discoveries at four places in Haryana and Punjab.“While two places were discovered in Karanal district of Haryana, NIA teams conveyed to one place in Yamuna Nagar (Haryana) and Gurdaspur (Punjab) this morning at one place.”The seized digital devices and other materials seized during the discoveries are being examined about the criminal conspiracy related to the immigration racket and for evidence.NIA investigation revealed that both Ravi and Gopal were part of an international syndicate from Karanal district in Haryana, luring Indian citizens with false promises of legal journey in the US.“Gopal hatched a conspiracy with another prominent accused in illegal immigration of several victims, and Jai Kumar with Ravi. He not only managed the hotel booking and traveling journey programs of the victims, but also worked as an agent for other co-speakers. He assisted other accused in paying the victims and their families, as as said to NIA Foundation.”The case is related to the illegal immigration of Shubham Saini of America, who is a resident of Haryana, Haryana. In January this year, the NIA mentioned that Shubam Saini was placed on the border by US authorities and sent to India.“In his complaint to Naringarah police, Saini revealed that he was taken to America through South and Central American countries. He was kept abroad and was subjected to misuse and forced recovery in several stages. A total of Rs 42 lakh was paid by him and his family in parts for Syndicate.”The NIA further stated that it continues with its investigation in the case, which has major international relations to identify and arrest others involved in the conspiracy.
