US-Russia talks: Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin to meet next week; Kremlin silent on Ukraine tripartite

US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin are expected to meet early next week, Kremlin said on Thursday. The time of the meeting is important, as Trump is trying to corner Russia with his tariff arrow and demanding to end his war against Ukraine. “On the suggestion of the American side, an agreement has been signed for the bilateral summit in the coming days,” said Kremlin’s colleague Yuri Usakov. “Now we are starting the details together with our American colleagues,” said Usakov.“Next week is set as a target date.”Ushakov further stated that the venue of the meeting has been agreed to “consent in principle”, but did not provide details.
