USPS Stamp Hike: First Class Forever Stamps Price Hike; 78 cents will cost from July 13

If you are planning to buy first class Forever Stamp, your last chance to get them at 73 cents before the price hike. The United States Postal Service (USPS) will increase the cost of several other services as well as the first class Forever Stamp on Sunday, 13 July. Parivartan was confirmed by USPS senior public relations representative Marti Johnson on Saturday 12 July. “Postal service market leads and competitive services are priced at the end of this week,” Johnson said.The Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC), the federal agency which oversees the USPS, was reviewing the proposed 5-percent increase in the stamp prices since May. Johnson confirmed that Hike has now been officially approved. Johnson first told the USA Today, “The postal service takes a rational and realistic approach to pricing the pricing that includes the prudent implementation of new and existing pricing officers, the letter prices are still much lower than other comparable foreign positions.”In an April statement, the USPS stated that the US 10-year plan required the price increase to support the financial goals mentioned in its delivery, while emphasizing that its services are still the cheapest at the global level. The new rates, which will be effective on July 13, are expected to increase the price of the mailing service product to 7.4%.What is changing here:

- Domestic Postcard: From 56 cents to 62 cents
- Letter: 69 cents to 74 cents
- Letter (1 ounce): 73 cents to 78 cents
- Additional ounces (letter): 28 cents to 29 cents
- International Postcard: $ 1.65 to $ 1.70
- International letter (1 ounce): $ 1.65 to $ 1.70
