Gorakhpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday held a comprehensive review meeting with MPs, MLAs and senior officials to discuss the upcoming road infrastructure projects in all the assembly constituencies in Gorakhpur and Basti Division, which according to an official statement in Gujarat. The Chief Minister interacted with public representatives to understand the specific road development requirements of his respective constituencies and urged them to present the alignment resolutions with the aspirations of the region. He assured that the proposals submitted will be taken on a rapid and priority basis.The meeting held at the Annexe Building Auditorium began with a digital presentation on upcoming road projects in Gorakhpur-Basti area. Senior officials of the Public Works Department informed the CM on the status of proposals under the consideration. After reviewing the status of the constitution-wise of the projects, CM Yogi held a detailed discussion with public representatives to underline the plans and directed PWD officers accordingly.The CM highlighted significant progress in strengthening the interstate and four-lane connectivity by the government, given that the Gorakhpur-Basti area is already a witness to its benefits.Emphasizing the need to carry forward the infrastructure of the road moving forward, he said that the PWD should treat all road-related proposals from public representatives. He directed that the priority for these projects be finalized in consultation with public representatives. He said, “The roads, known as high-primaryity, should first prepare their estimates, followed by a quick start for construction. Other road projects should then be taken in a phased manner. ,CM Yogi also emphasized that projects benefiting a large population should be predicted. “Urban roads should be included under the CM Grid scheme for systematic development,” he said. He strictly instructed the authorities to ensure timely completion of all road projects without compromising on quality. Public representatives were encouraged to monitor the progression of works in their constituencies to maintain quality standards and execution speed.Addressing the concerns raised by public representatives about flood-affected roads, the CM directed the PWD officials to formulate a special action plan to strengthen the infrastructure of the road in the flood-prone areas. If necessary, they also allowed the use of disaster relief funds for this purpose.Senior officials of the tourism department also shared the update on the initiative of tourism development at various religious places. In response, the Chief Minister directed the PWD to ensure easy road connectivity for all temples and religious places where tourism development continues or planned. He directed that any proposal submitted by public representatives in this regard should be processed immediately and prepared estimates prepared without delay in starting work.CM Yogi said that Gorakhpur and Basti divisions are emerging with renewed identity of development and development. He described public representatives as a true brand ambassador of progress in his constituencies and urged them to stay connected with the public, understand their developmental aspirations and make a proposal to the government. He reiterated that public facilities, security and prosperity are central for all government policies and the delegates actively emphasize the need for representatives to monitor and resolve any bottlenecks in ongoing development projects.The meeting was attended by Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, Minister of State Vijayalakshmi Gautam, Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan Shukla, Mayor Mangglesh Srivastava, as well as public representatives of Gorakhpur and Basti Division.
