“Very Special Privilege”: Eam Jaishankar welcomed Rok FM Cho Hyun in India

New Delhi: Jaishankar of Foreign Minister (EAM) welcomed Foreign Minister of Republic of Korea (Rok) on Saturday, described it as a “very special privilege” to host an old friend as a new ally.Congratulating Cho Hyun on his recent appointment, Eam said that his journey “a day after your National Day, and after our National Day, we say a lot about what we join the relationship,” and greetings on Korea’s National liberation day.Highlighting the importance of the journey, he said that it marks the 10th anniversary of the special strategic partnership between India and South Korea, remembering his presence with the Prime Minister when he met President Yun in Canada, Canada, a meeting that had “very strong bonding”.On 22 April, expressing gratitude for South Korea’s condemnation of the Pahgam terror attack, Eam noted the active association of ROK with India’s parliamentary delegation during Seoul’s visit. He wrote on X, “Dear Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, thank you honestly for your hot greetings on Korea’s National Liberation Day. Today is also India’s Independence Day, and I expand my heartiest greetings. I am ready to deepen the close friendship and cooperation between my two countries. I hope to see you soon!”Jaishankar shared a snippeat at the meeting of Prime Minister Modi at the meeting of South Korean President Lee J.
