Vijay Devarakonda’s ‘Kingdom’ may have to face another delay. Telugu movie news

Vijay Devarakonda’s upcoming Pan-India film ‘Kingdom’ which is currently scheduled to release on July 4, 2025, but recent reports suggest that the film may be re-postponed.According to a report by Pinkvilla, the film is now releasing on 25 July. The delay is reportedly due to some scenes being again shot, although an official announcement is still waiting. Directed by Gautam Tinnuri, ‘Kingdom’ has been postponed as a detective action entertainer and has been planned as the first part of the two-film series.‘Kingdom’ was initially slate for release on March 28, 2025, but faced several sites. It was first pushed by 30 May 2025, and then more delayed by 4 July 2025. The manufacturers cited unexpected national programs and prevailing atmosphere, as these factors made it difficult to move forward with publicity and ceremonies.The film consists of Bhagyashree Bores as a female head and it also includes Satyadev and Kushik Mahat in the lead roles. The project was officially announced in January 2023 under the temporary title ‘VD12’, with the official title Kingdom in February 2025. Major photography began in June 2023, with places to shoot places spread in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Kerala and Sri Lanka.The music is composed by Anirudh Ravichender.Looking forward, Vijay is preparing for his next big project, which is known for Shyam Singha Roy with director Rahul Sankity. This untitled film, often called ‘VD14’, is a period drama during British colonial rule. This marks second cooperation after his successful horror-comedy ‘Taxiwa’ between Vijay and Rahul. There are strong rumors that Rashmika Mandanna may be a female lead.He is set to work with director Ravi Kiran Cola temporarily nominated on a romantic action drama, ‘SVC59’.
