Visit to Argentina: PM Modi receives the key to ‘City of Buenos Aires’; Symbolic gesture of friendship, mutual belief. Bharat News

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was provided the key to the city of Buenos Aires on Saturday during his visit to Argentina- a symbolic honor showing friendship and mutual belief between India and Argentina.In a post on X, PM Modi said, “It is an honor to receive the key to the city of Buenos Aires of Buenos Aires from Mr. Jorge Makri, the head of the city government of Buenos Aires.”The visit identified the first bilateral visit in Argentina, an Indian Prime Minister in 57 years. PM Modi first visited the country to attend the G20 summit in 2018. He arrived at Aziza International Airport on Friday evening (local time) and was formally welcomed.During the visit, PM Modi had extensive conversations with Argentine President Xavier Milli. Discussion is focused on strengthening cooperation in major areas such as defense, agriculture, mining, oil and gas, renewable energy, trade and investment.PM Modi called his Argentina’s visit “producer”, expressing confidence that his interaction with the President Mila will give a strong boost to the Indo-Argentina relations.PM Modi posted on X, “I am confident that our discussions will add significant speed to our bilateral friendship and will fulfill the strong capacity.”During the meeting, the two leaders discovered ways to expand cooperation in major areas such as trade, agriculture, defense, energy and security. PM Modi also highlighted new opportunities in pharmaceuticals and sports.While living in Buenos Aires, PM Modi paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and Rabindranath Tagore.Argentina PM Modi had a third stop at five countries. Earlier, he visited Trinidad and Tobago, where he was awarded the Republic’s order – the country’s highest civilian honor.The Prime Minister has now reached Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he will attend the BRICS summit in the fourth phase of his ongoing journey.
