New Delhi: BJP -led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) held an important strategy meeting on Wednesday to discuss the upcoming vice -president election after Jagdeep Dhankhar’s sudden resignation. All the Alliance floor leaders participated in the meeting chaired by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.Following the discussions, the coalition unanimously passed a resolution to finalize Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President JP Nadda to finalize the NDA candidate for the post of Vice President. The Union’s Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijuju said after the meeting, “The decision taken by the Prime Minister will be accepted by all coalition parties.”Rijiju also announced a timeline for the election process. The last date for filing nominations is 21 August, while both voting and count will be on 9 September.
