The Waldosta Mall in Georgia was evacuated and placed under the lockdown on Saturday, 3 August, after a report of an emergency, which triggers a major police response. The incident occurred in the mall on the Norman Drive, which attracts officers of the Waldosta Police Department, with the support of the Laundes County Depot and other agencies.WCTV News said rumors of an “active shooter” spread on social media, later the Valdosta police confirmed that there was no active shooter at the scene.It is not clear whether any shot was removed.According to local reports, the police arrested three persons at the scene. The police ordered all the shopkeepers to be vacated and at this time no one is allowing anyone to enter the building again.The Waldosta police said that additional officers were being deployed, but the details of the incident are still unknown.
