Watch: Drunk man drives a car on the Merut railway platform, narrowly remembers the train; Arrested | Bharat News

New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a person took his car on the platform of the Merut Cantt railway station on the platform of liquor, coming close to a moving train dangerously under the influence of alcohol. The person identified as Sandeep Daka, the army personnel, was later arrested by the Government Railway Police (GRP) and his car has been seized.The incident in Uttar Pradesh was captured on the video and has gone viral on social media. The footage depicts a car navigating a Jharkhand registration plate that navigates through the platform area just an inch from a moving train.Soon after the video received online traction, users flooded with social media with reactions. A user jokingly said, “He actually tried to train Uber to the seat,” while another comment, “Uttar Pradesh surprises every day.”GRP’s Mordabad Division issued a statement on the case through X. According to the statement, Daka threatens the lives of the passengers and has been booked under Section 145 (B)/147/154/159 of the Railway Act and Section 34 of the Police Act.After a medical examination, the accused was confirmed to be intoxicated. Apart from arresting him, the authorities have also seized his driving license and submitted a report for its cancellation.
