Government Plan ‘Acquisition’ Defense of Lakshadweep Island. Bharat News

Kochi: Bitra Island, one of the 10 settled islands in the Lakshadavip Islands, is ready by the government for defense purposes. The island has 105 families and many have opposed the move.The Laxmip Revenue Department has issued a notification on July 11 for a social impact evaluation (SIA). The notification stated that a social impact assessment (SIA) was required as a trans-transparency in the land acquisition, rehabilitation and rehabilitation Act, 2013, according to the pro-compensation right to assess (SIA). Naming the Revenue Department as Project Developer, it said that SIA was involved in elections with all the proposed R-EAs including Gram Sabha in the activities. “SIA and Consent society, for Lakshad-Ro-Karna, will meet the acquisition of the United Nations of the proposed region within two months from the date of notification,” saying that the consent of village Saba and/or landlords was not mandatory.
