Watch: SpaceX’s Starship Spiral uncontrollably as fuel leaks in dramatic footage

SpaceX’s 9th Test flight fails

The ninth Test flight of SpaceX’s Starship began smoothly, which many people believe that it could succeed, but then the real trouble began. After the last two test flights ended prematurely with the destruction of the aircraft, Tuesday’s starship successfully reached the classroom. However, the spacecraft failed to completely open its payload bay door, blocking the planned release of the simulated starlink satellites. About 30 minutes in the mission, SpaceX confirmed a fuel tank on the vehicle. In the footage, the first-phase super heavy booster exploded shortly before its expected Splashdown, and due to fuel leaks on the upper-step vehicle, it had to be uncontrollably spinned before its planned re-entry through the Earth’s atmosphere. The company posted a statement on X reading, “As the flight test was not exciting enough, Starsip experienced a rapidly out -of -the -fixed disassemalley. The teams will continue to review the data and work towards our next flight test. With this way, with a test, success we learn, will help us to improve the reliability of Starships.“We are working with some leaks on the ship,” SpaceX Communications Manager Dan Huot said on Livestream. “It is also that the approach caused loss of control. So at this point, we are in a spin.” Due to this issue, Mission Controllers ended a planned performance to rule one of the Rapter engines of the Starship while in the orbit. Despite the complications, starship is still to re -enter the Earth’s atmosphere and fall down into the Indian Ocean. However, uncontrolled spin raises serious concerns about avoiding the lineage of its heat shield.Huot said, “As we are not able to control the attitude of the ship because we come into entry, it will enter whatever orientation at that time, which does not bend well to the shield’s heat shield,” said Huot. “So it is definitely coming down. It is definitely moving towards the Indian Ocean, but the possibility of making all our ways down is very thin.”Next to the ninth Starship Test, Space X chief Elon Musk emphasized the importance of tile functionality. In his discussion with YouTuber Tim Dod, he said, “The most important thing till date is the high heating phase of re -entry and given how tiles perform. Think it as a tiles mission.”Musk explained that this test is important for quick re -purpose purposes of SpaceX, especially to move humans to Mars, a goal that he intends to achieve in the near future. In his assessment of NASA’s Artemis program, which plans to return humans on the moon, Musk described it as “fairly weak” than SpaceX’s Mars Mission. He criticized the limited scope of Artemis, saying, “Artemis’ goals are so small. We should either do a basis on the moon or we should send humans to Mars, not just try to do what he did 56 years ago.”
