Amid allegations of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s “vote theft”, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Priyanka Kakkar on Tuesday is a “large -scale vote theft scam” in the country and is already a vote scam during 2025.Despite raising similar concerns in Karnataka and Maharashtra, Kakkar also expressed disappointment on the Congress party’s silence on the alleged electoral irregularities in Delhi.Speaking to ANI, the AAP leader said, “We are standing with the country. Currently, a large -scale vote theft scam is going on in the country. AAP showed how he (BJP) has stolen votes in Delhi assembly elections … We have always highlighted BJP’s vote theft, but Congress has always shut down on this issue.”“Even today, when the Congress raises the issue of head in Karnataka or Maharashtra, they still fail to accept votes in Delhi. It is very unfortunate that at that time, he supported the BJP and said that whether someone’s name is in the voter list or not, it does not matter to the public. It is very unfortunate.”Earlier today, Congress Parliamentary Party President Sonia Gandhi and party president Mallikrajun Kharge joined the members of the Fellow India Block in staging protests in Parliament on the issue of Special Intensive Amendment (SIR). Many opposition MPs arrived wearing white T-shirts, which were ‘124 not out’ with slogans.Prominent leaders like Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar), MP Supriya Sule and DMK MP Kanimozhi also protested on the issue. On Monday, in a show of Ekta, India Block MPs took out a March from Parliament against the alleged electoral irregularities in the 2024 general election from Parliament and on the EC headquarters from Parliament against the Special Intensive Amendment (SIR) of the electoral rolls in Bihar.Rahul Gandhi said that the fight of the opposition is not a political fight, but a fight to save the Constitution.“The reality is that they cannot talk. Truth is in front of the country. This fight is not political. This fight is to save the Constitution. This fight is a man, for a vote. We want a clean, pure voters list,” the Congress leader said.Meanwhile, the Election Commission (EC) on Monday responded to Rahul Gandhi’s comments, stating that the opposition (LOP) in the Lok Sabha asked “still time” to either present its allegations of votes or apologize to the nation to submit a formal announcement.
