‘We are going to find out’: Donald Trump gives Putin two weeks to prove that he is serious about peace with Ukraine.

US President Donald Trump issued an ultimatum to Russian President Vladimir Putin, giving him a two -week time limit to show that he was serious about ending the war in Ukraine, failing to fail. He said that if Putin is not really informing us about the efforts, they will proceed with a “different” approach.Speaking to reporters at the Oval Office on Wednesday, Trump said, “We are going to find out whether he is tapping with us or not, and if he is, and if he is, we will give a little different answer, but it will take about one and a half weeks.”Asked whether Putin is really wanting to end the struggle, the US President said, “I can’t tell you this, but I will tell you in about two weeks.”His comments come in Washington amidst increasing frustration in Washington as violence in Ukraine in Russia increases.Trump said, “It’s not good when I see the rocket shooting in cities. We are not going to allow it,” Trump said, he was “very disappointed” with the recent wave of Russia’s missile and drone attacks.Despite the increasing tension, Kremlin spokesman Dimitri Peskov on Thursday confirmed that Putin had no plans to speak with Trump, even Russian forces earned more profit on the battlefield, three more villages in Eastern Ukraine, New York Post said.In recent times, Trump’s accent has noticed for the Russian leader. After talking to Putin for two hours last week, a conversation believed that he had founded the foundation for immediate ceasefire negotiations, the Russian army till date made its most intensive attack on Ukraine. In response, Trump accused Putin on “playing with” and “playing with fire”.Putin had earlier claimed that he had agreed to work with Kiev on a memorandum towards the peace agreement, including a possible ceasefire timeline. However, Kremlin has not yet shared the document with Ukrainian authorities as they are still drafting their version of the agreement.Ukraine, however, sees the delay as a deliberate strategy. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Herohi Tikhay hit the delay, “Russians have suggested that it is probably full of unrealistic ultimatums, fear of sending their ‘memorandum’ to Ukraine, and they are afraid to reveal that they are stopping the peace process.”
