BJP MP Sambbit Patra on Sunday asked NCP-SCP leader Jeetanra Awahad to “destroyed India” for a comment and said that he would not have received a peaceful answer if he is called about Islam.MP Sambbit Patra said that he is protesting through a press conference.

“We are tolerant, and that is why we are registering our protest through a press conference. This statement was made about Islam and Muslims, you would not have received the reply in a press conference,” Sambbit Patra said.Patra further attacked NCP-SCP chief Sharad Pawar and MP Supriya Sule, and asked if Awadh’s statement reflected his party’s stance on the issue.He said, “He spoke against the very essence of India. I would like to ask Sharad Pawar and his daughter Supriya Sule, who is also an MP, is it the party’s statement or his personal statement?”The BJP MP said, “It does not happen anywhere in the world that allegations are being made against the majority population and then they are called intolerant.”Earlier, Jitendra Awahad raised a new line saying that Sanatan Dharma has “ruined India” and called his ideology “deformed”. After all seven accused in the 2008 Malegaon blasts, his comments were acquitted by a special NIA court, ruling the political debate on the word “Saffron Terror”.Addressing reporters, Awahad said, “Sanatan Dharma has ruined India. There was no religion called Sanatan Dharma. We are followers of Hinduism. It was the so -called Sanatan Dharma that denied our Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj of his coronation. This Sanatan Dharma defamed our Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. The followers of this Sanatan Dharma tried to kill Jyotiro Phule. He threw cow dung and dirt in Savitribai Phule.,He said that BR Ambedkar increased against ‘Sanatan Dharma’ and dismissed his repressive traditions.“This very Sanatan Dharma hatched a conspiracy to kill Shahu Maharaj. It did not even allow Dr. BR Ambedkar to drink water or go to school. It was Babasaheb Ambedkar, who finally arose against Sanatan Dharma, burnt Manusmati, and shook the creator of the Sanmrit. The NCP-SCP leader said that its Sanatani ideology is distorted.
