‘We Stand with Nation’: JNU suspended MoU with Inonu University, Turkey, cited ‘National Security’ India News

New Delhi: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on Wednesday suspended its educational memorandum (MoU) with Turkey indefinitely Inonu university ReferNational security Idea. ,The Premier Institute wrote on its X handle, “Due to national security views, the MO between JNU and Inonu University suspended the next notice. JNU stands with the nation.”MOU was signed in February 2025 between the University of JNU and Inonu. Valid for three years, it was to end in February 2028.Inonu University entered the academic partnership as part of cross-cultural research and efforts to promote student cooperation.JNU action was taken against Türkiye and Azerbaijan to support Pakistan during a recent clashes between the Indian and Pakistani armed forces.
