‘We will deport you’: The Governor of New York slammed for the will of Pakistan Independence Day

New York Governor Kathy Huchul was slammed on 14 August for his Pakistan Independence Day.

Social media users slammed Guv Kathy Hosul of New York and called Pakistan for their exile after extending their will for the Pakistani community of New York on Pakistan’s Independence Day. Hosul’s message read, “On Pakistan’s Independence Day, we are proud to join the Pakistani community of New York as they celebrate freedom, heritage and community.” Commentary section hate comments exploded as social media users said Pakistanis should return home and celebrate in Pakistan. “Does Pakistan celebrate on 4 July? Asking for a friend,” one wrote. “You will indicate for political points with Pakistan’s independence, but you will not fight for the freedom of black families from generational poverty and government’s dependence in your own state. This tells us everything that we need to know where we stand on your priority list, “Another user wrote. “Have you celebrated our Independence Day? Americans, in the country where you live and have been sworn in to support and be loyal to its legal citizens?” An X account wrote.“We will deport you with Pakistan, with a traitor,” and another wrote. One user wrote, “They are .29% Nyers. I really sure you can leave them alone and let them talk to them without this cringey and strange and still maybe probably get that vote somehow,” a user wrote. US State Secretary Marco Rubio wished Pakistan on his Independence Day on Thursday and appreciated for “Pakistan’s engagement on terrorism and trade”. Rubio said in a statement, “From the United States, I congratulate the people of Pakistan as they celebrate their Independence Day on 14 August.”“The United States appreciates Pakistan’s engagement on terrorism and trade. We are ready to discover new areas of economic cooperation, including important minerals and hydrocarbons, and dynamic trade participation that will promote a rich future for Americans and Pakistanis,” said Rubio.
