Phoenix: President Donald Trump added another support for Arizona’s Governor to next year’s Republican Primary, on Monday that he was supporting American Representative Andy Bigs, besides Housing Developer Karrin Taylor Robson’s first declared endorsement of Robson. Trump’s support for Robson’s support last year angered some of the state’s biggest colleagues, who doubt his long -term relationships for the Republican trade establishment, and Trump’s preferred a candidate with deep roots in Trump’s “Make America Great Again” movement.
Bigs, a former president of the Hard-Right Freedom Caucus of the American House and former state Senate, has long been a close aide of Trump and has supported his false claims about the 2020 presidential election. Bigs Queen represents a deep red district, including cities such as Creek and Gilbert, and belongs to the party’s ground level.
Bigs has no problem in defying the party’s leadership – such as when he and seven other House Republicans helped Kevin Macarthi out as a house speaker in 2023.
Trump said on the truth on Monday, “When Andy Bigs decided to run for the governor, I had a problem – I had a problem – two magnificent candidates, two terrible people, two amazing people, two amazing champions, and so it is my great honor that I have given my full and total support,” Trump said in a post in a post in a post on Monday.
In a failed 2022 race for the governor, Robson was closely aligned with old guard Arizona conservatives. He campaigned with Republican, who fell from Trump’s good grace, which included former Governor Doug Dussi and former vice -president Mike Pence, while Trump campaigned for former television news anchor Kari Lake. Lake lost GOP primary and lost to the current Democratic Governor Katie Hobbes.
This time, Robson is looking to eliminate the daylight between himself and the President, eagerly hugging him and his policies and avoiding himself as a trump-enders candidate. In response to double support, Robson thanked Trump for his support.
“I can’t wait as a partner in my conservative, America first agenda in the Governor’s office,” he said in a statement. “Ahead!” With the Bigs’ campaign, General Consultant Scene Nobel said that the campaign is “thrilled” for support, but it is also expected that it will be Trump’s first support for Robson for the two candidates.
He said, “Given that Robson bowed a lot on support, as it is a lot of basis to be in the race, it asks whether he should stay in the race,” he said.
Trump is not a stranger for double support. Since 2017, he has supported several candidates for the same post in six races including Robson and Bigs, according to an analysis by the Associated Press. In the 2022 American Senate race in Missouri, he supported “Eric”, which was the first name of two GOP candidates for enrollment. A triple endorsement came in 2024 in the race for Missouri Governor when Trump supported J. Ascroft, Mike Keho and Bill Egel.
The Democratic Governors Association called Robson dual support as a “huge blow”. Hobbes will face the winner of GOP Primary, who do not have any serious challenger for democratic enrollment.
