“To be honest, I’m not ignoring it completely – I am a practical person. I know there is pressure, and there are many things around the price and all those things. But at the same time, it is not under my control. What is my effort in my control that I try to help the team win, and I pay Rs 23 crore or Rs 20 lakh.”
Iyer, who has also stepped into a leadership role under New Captain Ajinkya Rahane, emphasized his commitment in all fronts – bat, balls and mentarships. “Once the tournament begins, this is my only attention: to contribute in every way,” he said.
