New Delhi: Royal Challengers Bangalore star Virat Kohli released an explanation on Friday, when social media burst on its alleged “” such as “such a fan page post on a post of actress Avneet Kaur.
Fans paid attention to Kohli’s verified Instagram handle in the “Like” section of the post, causing an online speculation.
The screenshots went viral, with principles ranging from a casual tap to potential disturbance.
While many brushed it harmlessly, some users abolished Kohli’s wife Anushka Sharma and made a baseless gossip.
Addressing Buzz, Kohli shared a statement through Instagram stories:
“I would like to clarify that while cleaning its feed, it appears that the algorithm may have recorded a conversation by mistake. There was no intention behind it. I request that no unnecessary perception be made. Thank you for your understanding,” he wrote.
Kohli is ready to return to action on Saturday as RCB takes Chennai Super Kings at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. CSK, already out of playoff controversy, became the first team to end with IPL 2025.
