Who is Brad Bandi? Palm Bondi’s brother rooted the DC Bar race; Celtzer wins with 90% margin

Brad Bandy, brother of Brad Bandi, a major white collar Raksha Attorney and American Attorney General Palm Bondi, faced a great defeat in their dialect to become the President of the Bar Association DC Bar, compulsory Bar Association for more than 120,000 legal professionals at Washington DC.Bondi, a partner of Paul Hastings LLP and its investigation co-chairman and white-coal defense exercise, lost to Celtzer Law firm’s employment attorney Dyne Celtzer. The results declared by DC Bar CEO Robert Spagnoleti on Monday marked a historic election with more than 38,600 ballot papers with a dramatic increase from just 7,500 in the previous cycle. Celtzer won with more than 90% of the vote.
A known legal name in Washington Circle
According to Newsweek, Brad Bandy is known in Washington legal circles for his work in securities enforcement and corporate probes. He first served as a lawyer for the commissioners in the US Securities and Exchange Commission and has created a career defending high-profile customers in complex regulatory matters. But his deep relations to the Trump administration – especially through his sister, Palm Bondi, who now serve as Attorney General under President Trump – promoted concern among many members of the legal community. After signing an executive order, Trump intensified earlier this year that lawyers and law firms allegedly directed Palm Bondi to identify lawyers and law firms, with a look towards disciplinary referrals, to lie in immigration cases.
While the Chairman of the DC Bar has no direct power on attorney discipline, the 23-member board affects the panel appointments that oversee the office of the disciplinary lawyer-how the rules of the conduct are implemented, an indirect but meaningful role in shaping it.Bondi’s candidature was announced soon after Trump’s executive order, with some lawyers as an expansion of the administration’s efforts for the police. Critics warned on social media that his election could traditionally bring political intervention seen as a nonpartison professional body.Bondi pushed those claims back, saying that his campaign was focused on the bar and not politics. Nevertheless, the voters’ response was decisive. In a statement after the election, Bandy accepted the defeat but hit a deadly tone.“Although I was not strong, I stand with a heart filled with gratitude and a mind is heavy with concern for the future of DC Bar,” he said. “I hate how the Rabid parties converted this election into a political gutter, converting a professional campaign into baseless attacks, identity politics and biased recurrence.”
Celtzer: One Vote for Transparency
Diana Celtzer, who is now ready to lead the DC Bar, launched a campaign on transparency and integrity. Beyond the vote, he responded to the growing disagreement over Bandi’s candidature by assuring the members that he would maintain the freedom of the bar.“These are the people who deeply care about the rule of law and the integrity of our bar,” said Celtzer. “If I am elected President, everything will be done properly and transparently.”Along with closely looking at the legal community, the election results marks a powerful statement: Washington’s lawyers are careful with any alleged political complications, even well -associated names such as Brad Bandy.
