Novak Djokovic entered his record-brakeing 14th Wimbledon semi-finals after defeating Italian Flavio Coboli in four sets on Wednesday. 38-year-old Serbian champion, playing in front of Queen Camilla, won 6-7 (6/8), 6–2, 7-5, 6-4, keeping his discovery alive for a historic 25th Grand Slam title.The seven -time Wimbledon winner showed his experience against 23 -year -old Koboli. I really appreciate it. It’s beautiful. I feel very small.”There was a scary moment of the match when Djokovic slipped while serving for victory. However, he quickly dismissed the concerns of injury. “I had a bad slip, but when you play on the grass it happens,” he explained. “I am going on this subject with my physio now and hopefully I will be well in two days.”
Djokovic sets milestone with victoryThis victory marks several milestones for Djokovic. He now holds a record for a single semi -final appearance of most Wimbledon men, crossing 13 of Roger Federer. He has also reached its 52nd Grand Slam semi -finals, increasing its record in men’s tennis.Djokovic will face World No. 1 Jannik Cinner in the semi -finals. One win broke him by breaking the all -time record of the Grand Slam Singles title of Margaret Court.
