In a recent interview, writer Medha Bhaskaran said that according to him, Vicky fit the bill for Sambhaji.
He said on the podcast of Ranveer Allahbadia, “I like Vicky Kaushal. Whenever I thought about Shambu Raje, I felt that Vicky would be good for his share because I saw his film based on Jalianwala Bagh.” Ranveer inspired him and said, “Sardar Udham.” He reacted, “Yes. I loved her.” He said, “Shambu Raje was tall, he looked like Shivrai, but it was a little shade that I think I think compared to Shivri. Vicky Kushal fits the bill.”
As ‘Chhawa’ on OTT, here is how the Internet reacted to the film and Vicky’s performance. One person wrote, “Clearly, Vicky Kaushal stole the national award from Pushpa’s hands. Filled with intense cow pumps. Rate the fact that the Mughals and the British only ruled us, some Indians cheated the whole of India.”
Another user commented, “High on a very impressive film, action and drama. War scenes are powerful, concerns and tricks look very genuine. Overall, good performance, but the film is resting on the capable shoulders of Vicky Kaushal. The film is now streaming on Netflix.
