The head of the Uganda Army says’ ‘anti -collaborate’ in his basement

Kampala: The main opposition leader of Uganda, Bobby wineOn Friday, he said that the army had raided its party’s headquarters, a few hours after the army chief claimed to kidnap the bodyguard of wine and torture him “in his basement”.

Uganda has faced international condemnation over the kidnapping of opposition figures, including experienced leader Kiza Besigia, who was seized in Kenya last year and returned to face allegations of forcibly treason.
Wine, a former singer, whose real name is Robert Kygulni, has become the leading rival of Musevani, who has ruled Uganda since 1986. On Friday, he said on X that the security forces “raided our headquarters”.
He also condemned the kidnapping of Mutway, told AFP that it was “a reminder to the world how the law and order in Uganda had broken”.
He said, “To confirm the kidnapping and illegal custody of Eddie Mutwe for Muhuji and share his photos half naked signals to share half naked signals at the level of wickedness,” he said. A police spokesperson told AFP that he was not informed about the case of Mutway.
‘Violent kidnapping’

The opposition was planning to use the headquarters to start a campaign to urge the people of Uganda to vote against the government in the general election and protect its democratic rights.
Kainerugaba is notorious for its unfolded positions on X. Earlier this year, he threatened to drink alcohol and repeatedly spaded online. His comments have sometimes drawn Uganda in diplomatic spat. In 2022, Museveni was forced to apologize for the positions by his son that was a threat to Kenya’s invasion.
