Ukrainian President Volodimier Zelansky said Ukraine’s amazing drone attack on Russia over the weekend was a success and warned that it would “continue” until Moscow stops its aggressive.Speaking to reporters after the latest round of the US-Brokered peace talks in Istanbul on Monday, Zelanski described the drone strike as a “strategic operation”, which weakened Russia’s military ability. The attack, which targeted Russia’s strategic bombing fleet, took place just a day before the talks.“This is happening on a daily basis,” Zelancesi said, referring to Russia’s ongoing attacks, including recent night attacks using over 480 drones. “We will continue until they stop.”Asked whether the drone operation would move the dynamics of the war or provoke Russia, Zelanski said Ukraine was not worried about whether Russia is “angry”, emphasizing whether Moscow continues his attacks.Zelancesi also addressed the role of America in the peace process. He said, “We are looking for very strong steps to support the restrictions on behalf of President Trump and to stop this war to President Putin, or to move forward with the first phase of ending this war – this is the ceasefire,” he said.Monday’s meeting in Istanbul marked the first direct contact between Ukrainian and Russian representatives since May 2022. The talks held at Sirgan Palace in Istanbul, lasted for more than just an hour.Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustom Umerov confirmed that the two sides agreed to exchange the bodies of thousands of fallen soldiers along with all the seriously injured and sick prisoners of the war. He also discussed the possibility of a meeting between Zelansky and Russian President Vladimir Putin.Ukraine is calling for a 30-day ceasefire to make a place for peace talks. However, Russia has rejected the proposal, clinging to the same comprehensive war goals declared by President Putin at the beginning of the invasion.
